How it Works, Step by Step

Here’s what to expect when you purchase a whole or half beef from

Bar 7T Centennial Ranch.

Step 1: Reserve Your Beef

  • Click on the “Bar 7T Beef Contract” above - It should answer most of your questions

  • If you need more information, please call/text 970-769-8522 or send an email to bar7T1915@gmail.com

  • Reserve your beef today!

    • Send a simple text or email letting us know you read and agree with the “Bar 7T Beef Contract”

    • Next, we will send you a request for a deposit on your whole or half beef (see the “Pricing and Deposit” page)

Step 2: Choose Your Processing Option

We work with two local processors and you choose which option is best for you.

Option 1: Sunnyside Meats (No-Hassle Option)

  • Contact Sunnyside by October 6 and let them know what cuts you want

  • We deliver your steer on October 13, 2026

  • Beef will be packaged, frozen, boxed, and ready for pickup about 4 weeks after harvest

  • You pay Sunnyside Meats directly for harvesting and processing

Option 2: Hogsback Custom Meats

  • Beef is humanely harvested and quartered on our ranch

  • After quartering:

    • Pay HCM to harvest and process your beef - OR -

    • Only pay for harvesting and take your beef home to cut and package yourself

  • You pay Hogsback Custom Meats directly for harvesting/processing

Step 3: Make the Final Payment for your Steer

  • On the harvest date, we will contact you with the live weight

  • Remaining balance is due within 5 days of the harvest date

Step 4: Pick Up Your Beef

  • Pay your processor

  • Pick up your beef and get the BBQ ready!

  • Enjoy knowing that you are eating local, healthy, and delicious beef!
